Terms of Service
These terms govern use of TitleDesk Agent, professional desktop software offered under The Harness Lab name by Spencer Teague.
1. Professional tool; human review required
TitleDesk assists with document reading, organization, calculations, research, and drafting. It is not a lawyer, title attorney, legal opinion, land survey, or substitute for professional judgment. AI and OCR can make mistakes. Users must review source documents, calculations, proposed instruments, reports, and deliverables before relying on or distributing them.
2. Accounts, licenses, and payment
Users must provide accurate purchase and activation information and protect activation credentials. Commercial access may be limited by plan, device count, subscription status, and signed offline-license terms. Stripe processes payments and its terms also apply to payment services. Canceling or restricting a license does not authorize deletion of existing user work; TitleDesk retains read, export, backup, credential-removal, and privacy controls as described in the product.
3. Connected services
Google Drive, AI providers, research websites, and user-configured integrations are optional third-party services governed by their own terms. Users authorize only accounts and data they have a right to access. A company Google Drive connection is read-only; a separate personal Drive connection can receive work the user directs TitleDesk to upload.
4. Acceptable use
Users may not use TitleDesk to violate law, infringe rights, obtain unauthorized access, distribute malware, evade service or licensing controls, or process data they are not authorized to handle. Users are responsible for workplace, client, confidentiality, records-retention, and professional obligations applicable to their projects.
5. User data and privacy
Users retain responsibility for and rights in the data they provide. Our handling of personal information and Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy. Users should not send project documents, credentials, activation secrets, or Google tokens to support unless specifically requested through a secure method.
6. Software and intellectual property
TitleDesk and its branding, software, documentation, and design remain the property of their respective owners and are licensed, not sold, except for rights expressly granted in a separate written agreement or applicable open-source license. Users may not remove ownership notices or redistribute commercial builds except as authorized.
7. Availability and changes
We may update the software, service, features, security controls, or these terms. We may suspend access needed to protect users, comply with law, address abuse, or enforce licensing. No software or connected service is guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TitleDesk is provided “as is” and without implied warranties. Users are responsible for verifying professional output, maintaining appropriate backups, securing their computers and accounts, and deciding whether a connected provider is appropriate for client data. Nothing here excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
